Although they are tiny, the life of mosquitoes is more successful than any other animal or insect in the world. Mosquitoes are a group of small insects. There are more than 3000 species of mosquitoes around the world.
In the modern world, these insects kill more people than any other living thing. Every year more than 700 million people get ill, and over 1 million dies due to these tiny insects.
Although they are tiny insects and live for weeks to months, they can spread awide variety of diseases among the human population. They can infect humans with viruses, bacteria and parasites without being affected themselves.
Common diseases spread by Mosquitoes are
- Filariasis(parasite disease)
- West Nile virus
- Japanese encephalitis
- Zika virus
- Yellow fever
They can be found all over the planet. However, most of the developed countries are quite successful in controlling mosquitoes population. Sub Sahara and tropical regions in Asia and America are their favorite breeding ground.
Every year governments around the world spend millions of dollars to control Mosquitoes. In Countries like Bangladesh, every household possesses mosquito nets, which are making thousands of jobs and money for specific personnel.
People are getting mad to get rid of them all over the year in Bangladesh. Several chemical companies solely founded to produce mosquito-killing products.
After all these efforts, the mosquito population is successful in increasing their number despite being tried to eradicate frequently.
Few animals such as Frogs and House lizards, love them as delicious food. Once, they even successfully killed one of the tyrant kings in world history.This story not only found in Islamic history but also in Greek mythology, and they are scaring us now like as before.
After all these years, they still can create panic across the world almost every year. Their population is nowhere near annihilation. Inevitably they will produce diseases and headaches for humans in the coming years. For all of these reasons, I say life of mosquitoes are successful as anyone can imagine.
